Colten Biro

I am an Assistant Professor of English at Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia. My research explores long nineteenth-century British literature, particularly popular fiction and children’s literature from the “Golden Age” (1865-1928).

I teach courses in British literature, children’s literature, theory, new media studies, and genre studies, in addition to classes in composition and film studies.

My work in the public digital humanities draws academic scholarship into conversation and partnership with local communities.

RESEARCH
