I am an English PhD candidate at Saint Louis University specializing in long nineteenth-century British literature and children’s literature from the “Golden Age” (1865-1928).
I teach undergraduate courses in nineteenth-century British literature, children’s literature, rhetoric & composition, and film studies.
My work in the public digital humanities draws academic scholarship into conversation and partnership with local communities.
RESEARCH
My current research explores the complex connection between nineteenth-century liberalism and imaginative children’s literature.
TEACHING
I love teaching. Take a quick tour of how I developed two of my favorite courses.
